At Very Unique Wellness, we are able to accommodate therapy students looking to obtain their group hours. We run DBT groups, one for teens, one for their parents and now one for adults. The group for teens and adults lasts for 18 weeks , while the parent’s group is only 10 weeks (we have up to 6 student spots available for groups). Clinicians with their LPCA (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate) in Kentucky or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Ohio are required by their respective state boards to engage in regular clinical supervision while working toward independent licensure.

Both states require that supervisors hold independent licensure status for and have completed board-approved supervision training (Kentucky requires a 15-hour supervision course; Ohio requires completion of recognized supervision training per OAC guidelines).

Vorā O. Blake, LPCC-S, C-DBT, C-PD is fully licensed and approved to provide clinical supervision in both Kentucky and Ohio for counselors seeking independent licensure. Because supervision is an important and collaborative professional relationship, we require a 1-hour interactive interview to ensure compatibility before entering into a formal supervision contract.
