Rhyanne McDade, Counseling Intern
INTERN
Rhyanne McDade is a clinical mental health counseling intern at Very Unique Wellness. She is currently pursuing her counseling degree at Northern Kentucky University while gaining hands-on experience as a part of her internship. Rhyanne holds a doctorate in Public Health Education with a research focus on mental health equity and psychosocial correlates that influence behavioral health outcomes. She brings over 10 years of experience in health education and community wellness initiatives.
In addition, Rhyanne is actively involved in mental health advocacy and community leadership, serving on a mental health board and leading a faith-based nonprofit that supports individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges. Her commitment to community-centered care reflects her passion for creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
As part of her internship, Rhyanne is expanding her skills in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and approaches for couples and group therapy. Her counseling philosophy is grounded in person-centered principles, emphasizing that every client’s story matters and that true healing involves the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Rhyanne strives to provide a safe, collaborative environment where clients can explore, grow, and thrive on their wellness journey.
Rhyanne receives clinical supervision from Vorā O. Blake, LPCC-S, C-DBT, C-PD, ensuring the highest quality of care.
